HISTORY:  This Centre of Excellence was born out of the collaboration between UNIDO, HP and CENSIRT. CENSIRT has been implementing the GET-IT programme as a certified training centre since 2008, under the subsisting agreement between UNIDO and HP. In October 2009 at the GET-IT Conference in Cairo Egypt, CENSIRT showcased the volumes of her achievements in innovative trainings and programmes under the GET-IT programme and emerged the World Best Achiever which came with a bundle of training equipment. Based on this excellent performance, the UNIDO Representative decided to upgrade the Centre. The project was jointly sponsored by UNIDO, CENSIRT and HP. The Centre was commissioned by the Governor of Ebonyi State Chief Martin Elechi (MFR) as represented by the Deputy Governor Elder Prof. Chigozie Ogbu (MFR) in the presence of UNIDO Representative Masayoshi Matsushita on 22nd July, 2010.

VISION:  To be the best one stop shop for ICT and entrepreneurship capacity building in the West African Region by the year 2020.

MISSION: To become the lead training Institution in West Africa in ICT, Entrepreneurship, SME, Sustainable Development and Renewable Energy.
